On the 19th of April Air Astana resumed
its regular flight operations for Almaty – Bishkek - Almaty. On the 8th
of April flights to Kyrgyzstan were stopped due to the unstable
socio-political situation within the country.
Today at 01.05 a.m. Almaty local time Air Astana
aircraft flew its regularly scheduled flight from Almaty to Bishkek with
28 passengers on board. The aircraft returned from Bishkek to Almaty at
04.15 a.m. local time. There were 48 passengers, most of whom were
Kazakhstan citizens.
Air Astana will continue to monitor the situation in
Kyrgyzstan and inform passengers of flight information. Passengers will
be given the opportunity to rebook their flight. However, we strongly
recommend that passengers carefully plan their trips to Bishkek as the
socio-political condition remains uncertain.
