Children, Infants and Unaccompanied Minor Policy
Children and Infants
For domestic travel within Kazakhstan: children (2-14 years old inclusive) who are travelling with a fare paying adult pay 50% of that applicable adult fare. These children (2-14 years old inclusive) must travel on all flights in the same compartment with an adult who is 18 years old or older.
For international travel: children (2-11 years old inclusive) who are travelling with a fare paying adult pay 50% of that applicable adult fare. These children (2-11 years old inclusive) must travel on all flights in the same compartment with an adult who is 18 years old or older.
Infants under the age of two travelling without use of a seat are accommodated without charge. Infants must travel on all flights in the same compartment with an adult who is 18 years and over.
Infants under the age of two travelling with use of a seat pay 50% of the applicable adult fare.
Unaccompanied Minors
Air Astana accepts unaccompanied minors between the ages of 5-15 years old.
For domestic travel within Kazakhstan, unaccompanied minors who are aged between 5-14 years old pay 50% of the applicable adult fare. Unaccompanied minors 15 years old will pay 100% of the applicable adult fare.
For international travel, unaccompanied minors who are aged between 5-11 years old pay 67% of the applicable adult fare. Unaccompanied minors aged 12 -15 years old pay the applicable adult fare.
Unaccompanied minors (5-15 years old inclusive) must travel on direct flights without a change of aircraft.
Whilst making the reservation with any Air Astana city of airport ticket office (www.airastana.com/kaz/gb/woffice) the parents or guardian of the unaccompanied minor must complete and sign the application for unaccompanied minors’ transportation. This will include information for both the responsible adult delivering the minor on departure and the responsible adult collecting the minor on arrival

Unaccompanied minors under the age of 5 years are not accepted. .
Unaccompanied minors are allowed to the flight only with notarized letter of attorney from UM’ s mother and father for contact person at the point of arrival or departure. The letter of attorney for relatives also is required.
Unaccompanied minors may not be booked on domestic flights within Kazakhstan if they are the last scheduled departure of that day and the flight is scheduled to arrive at the destination after 23:00hrs.
Reservations for unaccompanied minors must be made at least 24 hours before scheduled departure.
