  • Abu Dhabi… a Top 10 Destination to Visit

Year-round sunshine, pristine beaches, spectacular sand dunes and pulsating cosmopolitan lifestyle await every guest in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi city bursts with dazzling leisure and business facilities and attractions ranging from the outstanding beaches along the Corniche, a state-of-the-art convention centre, luxurious hotels, spas, designer golf courses, theatres, and very soon, some of the world’s most famous museums particularly Guggenheim and Louvre. The palace-like shopping malls and indigenous souks in Abu Dhabi make for a great shopping expedition, offering the best handicraft from local Bedouins to the best of Paris’ or Milan’s high street fashion brands, with significant sales tax benefits. Gastronomic treats further abound from cool and sophisticated cafes, clubs and restaurants.

There is a choice of tours – from an open-top Big Bus hop-on, hop-off services to speedboat tours around the island city. Fishing and diving trips are easily arranged, as are helicopter tours for those wanting a bird’s eye view.

For the fitness conscious, jogging and cycling (or even rollerblading) are a welcome treat especially during the cooler months in the city’s charming corniche or beachfront, merely minutes away from the bustling city centre.

Here are some of the famous sights of Abu Dhabi:

Corniche Public Beaches. A spectacular white stretch of sand running the length of the Corniche where visitors can relax and play.  Amenities, including restaurants, cafes and juice bars are of the highest standard.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Inspired by Mughal and Moorish mosque architecture, is the largest mosque in the UAE, and the eighth largest mosque in the world. The mosque also holds some world records to its name – the World’s Largest Carpet, and the largest chandeliers that are made from gold-plated copper and fitted with millions of Swarovski crystals.

Yas Island. Named the World’s Leading Tourism Project, the island plays host to the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Ferrari World. The largest indoor amusement park in the world, the Ferrari theme park is home to Formula Rossa – at 240 km per hour, its the world’s fastest roller coaster.

Khalifa Park. Built at a cost of USD50 million, the park has its own aquarium, museum, train, play parks and formal gardens.
