Astana continues expanding its
network. Almaty - Hong Kong is the 6th new international route that Air Astana
introduced in 2012 with 3 more to
follow.
Flights between Almaty and Hong Kong will be operated twice a week as of 28
August by Boeing 757 aircraft offering convenient
connections with Cathay Pacific and
other airlines to Manila, Saigon, Guangzhou, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Seoul,
Jakarta and many other cities in
South East Asia. Guangzhou is also accessible
through speed train connections from Hong Kong.
Effective from July 26, 2012, nationals of the Republic of Kazakhstan may visit Hong Kong visa-free for a stay of up to 14 days. Likewise, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport holders will also enjoy 14 days visa-free access to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
