POINTS OF INTEREST

The City of Hanover owes the world-famous baroque gardens of Herrenhausen created by Sophia, Princess Palatine of the Rhine, which attracts 400,000 tourists every year. The top address in matters of jazz is the Jazzclub at Lindener Berg, whose traditional Jazz Festival outside the Town Hall on Ascension Day attracts its community of fans whatever the weather. Hanover offers to tourists many collections in art galleries and museums. Hanover launched its programme of street art in the early 1970s, the programme attracted widespread attention. The Maschsee Lake draws crowds all the year round. There are openair parties in summer, and in winter festivities on the ice with mulled wine and punch.
