Air Astana lights up WTM
Air Astana, exhibited at the World Travel Market at London’s Excel Centre from the 6-9 November 2006. Coming at a time of rapid expansion, the airline took advantage of WTM to showcase its new onboard products, new cabin crew uniforms, increased frequencies and new brand identity. The airline took a large delegation from Kazakhstan including VP Commercial, Sales and Marketing Director, to join Richard Ledger, Regional General Manager EU, USA & Canada at the newly designed stand.
Air Astana showed its new onboard meal service, including Noritake fine chinaware from Japan and selected wines from around the world, during a wine tasting reception held on Monday and Tuesday for key travel agency partners and trade press. The wine tasting reception was also supported by H.E Mr. Erlan A. Idrissov, the Kazakhstan Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Three members of Air Astana cabin crew were on hand to serve wines and canapés, proudly showing off the new cabin crew uniforms. Full length, black and elegant, the new uniforms typify the evolving Air Astana brand.
Air Astana also displayed their new audio and video on demand in-flight entertainment system, which allows business class passengers to choose from a range of movies, documentaries and news items. This product enhancement will be introduced on long haul routes from January 2007.
Richard Ledger, Air Astana’s Regional General Manager EU, USA & Canada said, “WTM is an excellent opportunity for Air Astana to shout about the developments currently being rolled out across the fleet. The new meal service, IFE system, and cabin crew uniforms will really appeal to our regular customers”.
