Please be informed that passengers travelling to Uumqi must in addition to visa present the Invitation Letter which they had given to the embassy to get visa. Both electronic and paper invitation letters can pass the immigration inspection. Without the invitation letter passengers cannot cross the border and risk deportation. Check-in agents and travel agencies can require the document. Also during immigration assessment, passengers should state the same purpose of travel as one mentioned in the Invitation letter. Otherwise, that may be a reason for deportation.

Some airports charge a "departure tax" that must be paid by every departing passenger. These taxes are usually included in the total ticket price. It is very important that you make sure that your passport remains valid for the whole duration of your journey. Some countries require that your passport remains valid for a certain period of time (typically six months).
