Rules on Ticket Name Changes & Corrections
The first and last names provided in your booking must match the information on your valid form of identification. In the event of any discrepancy between the booking details and your travel document, please contact us to request a correction for the name mismatch.

When booking a flight with Air Astana, it is crucial to ensure that the first and last names on the ticket are accurately written in Latin letters, consistent with the details in the passport or official identification document. The last name should be placed first, followed by the first name (e.g., ABDRAKHMANOV / SERIK MR). Any inaccuracies or misspellings in the names will result in passengers being denied boarding for our flights. 

In the event of a misspelling in either the first or last name or if the order is incorrect, passengers are advised to contact the point of ticket purchase. Requests for the correction of passengers' first or last names are accepted up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure. 

For a complete change of either the first or the last name of a passenger, the correction is permissible only if accompanied by an official document verifying the change. Passengers are required to submit their application no later than 3 working days before the departure date. The application should include a scanned color copy of the renewed and old passport or identity document, along with a scanned color copy of the document certifying the name change (e.g., marriage certificate, divorce certificate).
