Travel Discount Certificate

If you have a certificate received from our colleagues at the airport, you can use it at the airline's own sales offices to pay for your upcoming flight and additional services. Please familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions for using the certificate and FAQ section below.

General Terms and Conditions

The certificate is valid for 1 calendar year from the date of issue.

Each certificate is valid for issuing only one ticket.

The ticket must be issued and used before the certificate's expiration.

The certificate may not be given as a gift or transferred to any third party.

When does the airline offer a travel discount certificate?

The certificate is issued by Air Astana staff as compensation. On receipt of the certificate, the passenger/customer releases the Air Astana carrier from and against all and any claims on their application, including claims for additional compensation.

How do I use my certificate?

The certificate can be redeemed at our own sales offices when you purchase your next ticket. You must present the certificate to the ticketing agent at the time of payment.

My ticket price exceeds the value of the certificate.

If the price of the new ticket is lower than the value of the certificate, the difference is non-refundable. If the price of the new ticket is higher, you’ll have to pay the remaining amount. The certificate is not valid as an independent document for transportation and does not cover the airport charges indicated on the ticket.

What is the currency of the certificate?

Kazakh Tenge, United States Dollars, or the local currency depending on where it was issued.

Can I use my certificate for a different airline?

The certificate can only be used for flights operated by Air Astana.
