However, Nomad points are not used to upgrade to elite levels.

Members shall receive a fixed number of miles and points for each flown one-way segment, depending on the fare cost shown on the ticket, for all flights from 17 May 2024 onwards. Accrual of points and miles for flights until 17 May 2024 shall be based on the ticketed point mileage.

All subsequent changes can only be made upon payment of a penalty of 3,000 points or 15,000 KZT from the participant's account. In case the cost of a ticket for points on the desired date is higher than the amount of points paid for the original ticket, the difference in points must be paid from the same account. Members must contact the Air Astana Call Centre or visit a ticket sales office to make these changes.

5.5.5 Re-Depositing Points for Unused Awards

Upon confirmation from the programme member for an award travel, Nomad Club agents deduct points from the member's account. Once points are deducted from the member's account, an award ticket is considered issued. If a member has not utilized an award ticket by paying airport and other charges, or if the issued award ticket or upgrade has not been fully utilized, it can be returned, and the points for it will be reinstated to the member's personal account with a deduction of 5,000 points. Members must allow at least seven (7) working days for Nomad Club Service Centre to process award re-deposit.
